I picked up this Founders Club Fresh Metal thinking it would be a solid fairway wood, and it does double duty as a mini driver. The 13° loft is strong, making it a great option off the tee for tighter holes. The UST stiff flex graphite shaft gives a low, piercing ball flight. At 43.5 inches, it's manageable to control. The head is compact, requiring a clean strike. For $25, it's almost disposable, but it performs well for what it is. The only issue is the grip is worn and the head shows some scratches. Still, a great buy for the price.
